     感染(HBV)的途徑：母嬰傳播；輸血傳播(包括消毒不良的醫療器具)；粘膜傳播(性行為傳播)。怎樣早期發現肝炎    只要你有肝病的一般知識，對肝炎有警惕性，充分注意以下幾個方面，早期發現肝炎是完全可以做到的。
    l、在半個月到6個月內曾與肝炎患者密切接觸，吃過半生不熟的海產貝類食物，或輸過血，注射過血漿、白蛋白、球蛋白等，或有過不潔性接觸，用過消毒不嚴格的注射器，接受過針灸、紋身、拔牙和手術等，即有被傳染上肝炎的可能。
    2、近日來全身疲乏無力，不想吃東西，惡心、嘔吐、厭油膩、腹脹，肝區痛，大便不調，尿似濃茶等，經休息後上述症狀仍持續不好轉，而又找不到其他原因時，就應考慮到患肝炎的可能性。如能及時到醫院檢查，發現肝腫大，尤其是黃疸，就應當高度警惕有患肝炎的可能。
    3、有第(1)項接觸史和第(2)項自覺症狀體徵者應迅速做必要的化驗檢查。如已有鞏膜、皮膚或粘膜黃染，應馬上作尿三膽檢查。如發現尿中膽紅素陽性(正常人尿膽紅素陰性)，同時查出血清轉氨酶升高時，則患肝炎的可能性更大。對發病緩慢、症狀輕微，懷疑為無黃疸型肝炎、隱性感染或亞臨床肝炎者，應定期進行化驗檢查。
    4、進一步作肝炎病毒方面的抗原及抗體檢查，以明確判斷是哪一種肝炎。當A型抗體免疫球蛋白M(抗-HAVIgM)陽性時即可考慮為A型病毒性肝炎;高濃度的抗B肝核心抗體免疫球蛋白(抗-HBcIgM)陽性伴有B肝表面抗原(HBsAg )陽性時，可考慮為B型肝炎。同樣採用C型、D型、E型肝炎特異性的診斷試劑盒進行檢測，則可分別協助判定相應的肝炎病原。引起肝炎的原因有哪些    肝炎就是肝臟發炎。引起肝臟發炎的原因有很多，常見的有：

l、病毒感染：由多種肝炎病毒引起。具有傳染性強，傳播途徑複雜，流行面廣泛，發病率高等特點。目前病毒性肝炎主要分A型、B型、C型、D型、E型肝炎五種，近年來又發現有F型肝炎和G型肝炎。其中A型和E型肝炎具有自限性一般不會轉為慢性，少數可發展為肝硬化。慢性B型肝炎與原發性肝細胞癌的發生有密切關系。
     2、藥物或化學毒物：許多藥物和化學毒物都可引起肝臟損傷，發生藥物性肝炎或中毒性肝炎。如雙醋酚汀、甲基多巴、四環素以及砷汞、四氯化碳等。對肝臟的損害程度取決於藥物或化學毒物的服用或接觸劑量的時間，以及個體素質差異。長期服用或反復接觸藥物和化學毒物，均可導致慢性肝炎，甚至肝硬化。
    3、酗酒：酒精能夠引起肝炎。主要是由於酒精（乙醇）及其代謝產物乙醛的毒性對肝細胞直接損害造成的。據研究，如果每天飲入酒精含量達150g以上，持續 5年以上者，有90％可發生各種肝損害；10年以上則有約34％發生慢性肝炎，約有25％發展為肝硬化。歐美國家酗酒者較多，酒精性肝硬化約佔全部肝硬化的50％—90％。

4、其他：很多全身性傳染病都可侵犯肝臟，如EB病毒、細菌性傳染病中的傷寒等，都可以引起血清轉酶的升高或其他肝功能異常。但因這些疾病都有各自的特殊表現，而肝臟發炎僅僅是疾病中的一部分錶現，故診斷都不困難，較少誤診為“肝炎”。
總之，肝炎是一個名稱，它包括許多病因不同的肝炎。但日常生活中由於病毒性肝炎最常見，大家對它也最熟悉，因此人們習慣地把病毒性肝炎簡稱為“肝炎”。

Milk thistle

Milk thistle ( Silybum marianum or Cardus marianum ) is a plant used for treating liver disorders, breast feeding problems, and other illness. The active ingredient of the herb, silymarin, is found in the ripe seeds of the plant. The milk thistle plant has a long stem, green leaves with white spots, and pink to purple spiky flowered head ( which true to its name, resembles a thistle ). The plant is native to Europe and grows in the wild in the United States and South America. Other common names for the plant include Mary thistle, St. Mary thistle, Marian thistle, and lady's thistle.

The medicinal benefits of milk thistle have been valued for over 2000 years. Written records show that as early as the first century, Romans were using the plant as a liver-protecting agent. The plant was also frequently used throughout the middle Ages, and it is in the herbal literature of this period that the medicinal properties of milk thistle seeds are first noted. Nicholas Culpepper, a British herbalist, wrote about the value of the herb in treating diseases of the liver and spleen in the late eighteenth century, and by the end of the next century, records show that American physicians were also prescribing the substance. The active ingredient of milk thistle, silymarin, was first isolated from the milk thistle plant by German scientists in the 1960's.

The leaves and stem of the milk thistle plant are edible, and can be used in salads or eaten raw. The plant was cultivated as a vegetable in Europe through the end of the nineteenth century.

Milk thistle is prescribed for a number of medicinal uses, including liver disease treatment and prevention, HIV treatment, lactation problems, gallbladder disorders, mushroom poisoning, and psoriasis, a chronic skin disease characterized by reddish patches.
Milk Thistle is thought to promote the growth of new liver cells, and to prevent toxins from penetrating through healthy liver cells by binding itself to the cell membranes. It is prescribed for cirrhosis, hepatitis, and other liver disorders. Several clinical studies have demonstrated that individuals with cirrhosis who take daily doses of milk thistle extract have a lower mortality rate than those who took a placebo ( or sugar pill ).

In addition, milk thistle may behave a protective effect on the liver, and is sometimes prescribed for patients who take medications that can cause liver damage ( e.g., Thorazine, Haldol ), or those who are exposed to liver-damaging substances such as lead.
